Basic Skills Competitions

An introduction to the world of figure skating competitions.

As part of the Club’s mission to advance participation, education and excellence in skating, The Skating Club of Boston® hosts Basic Skills competitions annually at the Boston and Foxboro locations. Basic Skills competitions are a fun, worry-free introduction to the world of competitive figure skating.

All are welcome to test the skills they learned in their Basic Skills lessons. Levels range from Snowplow Sam beginners to more experienced skaters at the Preliminary level who are on the verge of more advanced competition.

Competitions include singles, pairs, ice dance, Theatre On Ice, therapeutic skating, and synchronized skating disciplines.
