Amanda Farkas

Personal Profile:
My competitive career began at the Skating Club of Boston. I trained here as a skater and now have been coaching here for over 25 years. Throughout my competitive career, I was a member of Team USA competing internationally, I was a six time Nationals competitor, sectional and regionals champion and collegiate medalist.
I have coached skaters at the World, International, and National level. I also have numerous skaters at the Sectional and Regional level. I love starting skaters at the Grassroots and developing their skills and techniques so that they can reach their skating goals. One of my favorite aspects of coaching is teaching the skaters how to spin!!

Formal Education:
BS in Finance from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business

Coaching Philosophy:
My philosophy as a coach is to not only coach the skaters on the ice by developing their skating skills and technique, but also instill qualities that will help them off the ice as well. As a coach, I find it very important to be positive, supportive, trusting, goal-oriented, patient and a clear communicator. I want my skaters to work hard, have a good attitude, and success will follow.
