Linda Blount

Personal Profile:
Linda Blount has been a member of The Skating Club of Boston for over 40 years together with her sister Jennifer Blount as well as her mother Karen and her father, Club President, Joe Blount. As a skater, she skated competitively for 7 years and qualified for the Sectional and U.S. Championships. She is a triple gold medalist in Free Skating, Moves in the Field and Figures.

As a coach for over 35 years, Linda has trained skaters at Regional, Sectional, National and International events. She is a triple PSA Master Rated coach in Free Skating, Moves in the Field and Group, Senior Rated in Figure and hold a PSA ranking of Level IV. Linda is also a PSA ratings examiner for Free Skating and Moves in the Field. This past season, Linda was nominated for the PSA Presidents Excellence Award and was also awarded the PSA Walter and Irene Muehlbronner Scholarship.

Over her 40 years as a member of The Skating Club of Boston, she has volunteered in numerous events which include World, U.S. and Synchro Championships. She has also enjoyed her role as the Stage Manager for the Club’s annual show, Ice Chips, for several years.
