Ron Kravette

Personal Profile:
Competitive skating, and now coaching, is a significant and important part of my life. I believe that through skating, athletes can learn skills to become better prepared to lead fulfilled and successful lives. In addition to skating, spending time with my family and our large dog is very important to me. We enjoy biking, hiking, traveling and discussing current events. Away from coaching, I have taught US and World History, and US Government and Politics at the college level since 2007. I am currently in a Doctoral Program in Global Studies at UMass – Lowell.

Students’ Competitive Achievements:
As a main coach, I have brought students to Junior Grand Prix events and have had numerous national medalists, including the current National Juvenile Dance silver medalists. As an assistant coach, I have worked on skating skills for U.S. Olympic medalists, national senior medalists in ice dance and pairs, as well as the world medalist synchronized skating team of the Haydenettes. I have also been the main coach for the national Boston University Synchronized Skating team.

Last 4 Years – Students’ Competitive Achievements:
I am the main coach for the current National Juvenile Dance Silver medalists, and had skaters in other National events during the 2020 season. As an assistant coach, I worked with a skater who competed at the 2018 Olympics, skaters from the World Medalist Synchronized Skating team, the Haydenettes, and numerous other competitors in various skating fields.

I specialize in skating skills, presentation, and power at any level: beginners, adults and competitors. I also specialize in dance at any level and moves in the field.
