Evgenia-Shishkova-Vadim-Naumov Maxim NaumovI am pleased to announce that Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov have accepted the Club’s invitation to join our staff of professional coaches. They will be relocating to the Club from Simsbury, CT in early March, and working with students at every level in both singles, pairs and moves in the field.

By way of background, Genia and Vadim competed as a pairs team representing Russia. They are the 1994 World Pair Champions, and the 1996 Grand Prix Series Final Champions. They are also two-time World medalists, five-time European medalists and two-time Olympians, as well as the 1998 World Professional Champions. Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, they became partners in marriage in 1995, and emigrated to the United States in 1998. They have coached as a team in Simsbury, CT since moving to the United States, and among their current students is their son, Maxim Naumov, winner of the Novice Men’s title at the recent 2017 U.S. Championships in Kansas City. Past students include 2005 U.S. Pair Champions Katie Orscher and (current Club coach) Garrett Lucash.

I hope you will join me in welcoming Genia and Vadim to the Club’s coaching staff once they are here in March! Until then, they may be reached at vadimnaumov@hotmail.com.
