ACAC Workshop: Recovery Yoga

On Saturday, December 7th, join the ACAC for a workshop focused on the use of yoga in recovering from figure-skating training! The training requirements in the sport of figure skating can take a toll on any athlete, but especially the adult skater. Register today and learn how yoga can help ease sore muscles and speed up your recovery time as well as rejuvenate your body with deep stretching and myofascial release using massage balls.
While it is not required, participants are asked to bring their yoga mat, strap, and small towel, if they have them in their possession.
About the Instructor: Vito Politano
Vito teaches mindful movement via alignment-based yoga classes. He also offers classes that incorporate yoga wall/ropes, and myofascial release using massage balls. His care and attention to safety and therapeutics enable students to open body, heart, and mind in a deep and sustainable way. He received his training at the 500 Level with Natasha Rizopoulos (YogaWorks) and Barbara Benagh (Down Under Yoga), and at the 200 level with Natasha Rizopoulos through YogaWorks, and assisted David Magone in the Pranavayu method. In 2012, Vito was named Lululemon Ambassador for the Boston Prudential store.
Registration for Member Programs, Dinners and Events is limited to members of The Skating Club of Boston. Seminars and Public Programs are open to the figure skating community.
