DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, September 10th\, The Skating Club of Boston is inviting you to a special celebration honoring its members who received the prestigious Honorary membership and Gold Pin award at last June’s Annual Meeting. This celebration will also bring back two important Club traditions with this being the first Friday Night Dinner in the Club’s new home and the first Friday Night Exhibition of the 2021-2022 competitive season! Cocktails and the exhibition will begin at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 7:00 pm. \nPlease note that this dinner’s menu does not include a Kid’s Menu option\, however\, future dinners will include this option. In addition\, registration for dinners at the Club will be taking place through the Square application this year. This new way of online dinner registrations will allow members with the appropriate membership type the option to assign their dining purchases directly to their annual membership’s dining obligation. There is also the option to pay directly by credit card. Please be sure to review the following notes that detail how you can assign your dinner registration towards your dining obligation. \nHow To: Assigning Dinner Registrations to Your Dining Obligation \n\nOnce you have your meal choice determined\, select Add to Cart.\nAfter all your meals have been added to the cart\, select Checkout. Do not select the Google Pay option. This will prohibit you from entering your member dining card number and assigning your dinner reservation to your membership’s dining obligation.\nOn the right-hand side of the Checkout page\, select Apply Coupon or Gift Card. It is here where you can enter the 16-digit number on your member dining card. DESCRIPTION:The Adult Community Activities Committee (ACAC) is hosting another Zoom workshop in preparation for the upcoming competitive season. Join U.S. Figure Skating Officials Elliot Schwartz\, Sarahjayne Howland and Chia Ying Lee via Zoom on Thursday\, February 10th\, at 7:00 pm. \nRegister Today\nOur U.S. Officials\nElliot Schwartz has been a U.S. Figure Skating official for 20 years. He holds the appointments of ISU and National Data Replay Operator\, National Accountant\, National Judge for Synchro\, Sectional Judge for Singles & Pairs\, and Regional Technical Controller for Singles. Elliot has a PhD in Materials Engineering and Bachelor’s degrees in Applied Math and Materials Science and Engineering from MIT. He currently works as a Data Analytics Consultant with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. \nSarahjayne Howland fell in love with skating as a singles competitor at age 10 and later skated with the Team Boston Adult Synchronized Skating Team. She has been a US Figure Skating Official for ten years\, serving as a Gold Test Judge and Chair of the NEICC High School Program. Away from the ice\, she is a former Walt Disney World Entertainer and current Mass General Brigham Nurse. \nChia Ying Lee is an Adult skater\, US Figure Skating judge\, and also a Co-chair of the ACAC. Chia started skating as a young adult in sunny Singapore\, and continued through multiple cross-globe and cross-continent moves\, before settling down in Boston. She recently started judging as a different way to be connected to the sport\, earning her first Bronze Singles Test Judge appointment in 2020\, and non-qualifying Competition Judge appointment in 2021. As an Adult skater herself\, Chia understands the unique needs and challenges faced by Adult skaters\, and is committed to supporting Adult figure skating in the Boston area and beyond.

Three different presentations will be held in the Club Lounge on Feb. 17th (3:00 PM and 5:00 PM for skaters and parents\, and 7:30 PM for coaches).
