Over 100 students and staff from the German International School Boston will be at The Skating Club of Boston Monday, March 24, 10:15am-12pm, to present the German International School Boston Global Community Outreach Award to Ross Miner. Ross will visit with the students and will perform his long program for them.
“Ross Miner was the unanimous winner for the GISB Global Community Outreach Award,” affirmed Theodore Beaufaÿs, English teacher and representative of the GISB Outreach Program (GISBOP). “He invited our school to commemorate the Boston Marathon bombing through an expressive work of art and athleticism. Miner’s four short minutes on the ice engage our students with our community, and our students are given a forum to reflect on the tragedy’s impact both locally and globally. He leads as a role model for our children, showing how one person can inspire to bring a community together to reveal the positive side of humanity – Boston Strong.”
