A Night of Stars Ice Show
Tenley E. Albright Performance Center
A Night of Stars is a 90-minute show presented in two acts. There will be a 20-minute intermission between acts.
Parking at The Skating Club of Boston is limited due to the size of our anticipated audience. We encourage everyone to carpool if possible. For those parking at the Club, parking is available at both 750 University Avenue, and next door (to the west) at 846 University Avenue. Please note that there is absolutely no parking allowed at 720 University Avenue (on the east side of the Club). There is also no parking allowed on University Avenue. Violators will risk being towed at their own inconvenience and their own expense.
The cost of parking at either 846 or 750 University Avenue is $10.00, and payable by credit card only. No cash will be accepted. Parking attendants will be available at both parking lots to assist with payment and directions for parking. Norwood police details will also be on-site to help direct the flow of traffic upon entry and exit.
For those wishing to avoid the $10.00 parking fee, parking is also available 1.5 miles away at the MBTA University Park Garage at 50 University Avenue (at the intersection of Rt 128 and University Avenue). The MBTA charges $3.00 for weekend parking. The Skating Club of Boston will operate a complimentary shuttle service between the garage and the Club from 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM on a continuous loop. The shuttle seats 24 passengers and will return promptly to each location. You can find the shuttle bus inside the MBTA parking garage on the ground floor. Shuttle buses are provided by TransAction Associates and can be identified by their logo (see below). Drop off and pick up at the Skating Club will be on the northeast corner of the front of the building.
Please allow sufficient time for shuttle transfer if choosing this option. We will monitor shuttle activity, but can only hold the start of the show for several minutes if necessary.
Entering the Facility
Please enter the facility through the spectator ticket entrance to the left of the box office at the front of the building. There will be signage on the sidewalk assisting you.
Security Bag Check and Tickets
Upon arrival inside the building, please note that there will be a security bag check for guests bringing handbags with them. Please also note that large backpacks and other bags will not be allowed in the building for this event. Your tickets will be scanned after the security check and upon entering the facility. If you have any questions about your tickets, please check with a guest services representative at the box office.
Please remember that masks are required at all times when you are in the facility, except for when you are eating or drinking. The Skating Club of Boston has maintained a mask policy almost the entire time of the pandemic and we have had zero cases of transmission of the COVID-19 virus within the facility. We believe that masks work, and we want all of our guests to remain safe and to leave the evening with nothing more than great memories. Thank you for adhering to this policy for the greatest safety of all our spectators.
Arena Temperature and Comfort
The Tenley E. Albright Performance Center has been designed with your comfort in mind. You should expect an approximate temperature of 68 degrees. The arena seats are fully upholstered, and there is a custom-designed Bose arena sound system for a state-of-the-art listening experience.
Due to the current scarcity of labor and space limitations, we will not have a coat check available for our spectators. Please plan accordingly.
Photo and Video Policy
Flash photography is never allowed at a skating event due to distractions for the performers. If you do take photos, please be sure your flash is off and that you are considerate of your fellow spectators so as not to disturb their enjoyment of the performance.
Food and Beverage Service
There are two concession stands on the east side of the arena mezzanine. Light food service, including hot and cold options as well as a variety of beverages, including a selection of alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. Alcohol service will end at 7:30 PM, and food and other beverage services will end at 8:00 PM.
Throughout the evening, the Club will be featuring a silent auction with a wide range of items promising interest to almost everyone. Participation is by no means a requirement, but we hope that all our attendees will find it fun, while benefiting the three beneficiaries of the evening, the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. You can see what’s being offered and register for the auction by clicking here. Bidding is already open and will remain open until 10:00 PM on Saturday night. Winners will be notified electronically, and advised of when they may return to the Club to pick up their winning items.
