U.S. Figure Skating: Minor Athlete and Parent SafeSport Training Courses

From the U.S. Figure SkateSafe Team

You may have previously received communication from us or U.S. Figure Skating regarding the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s migration to a new Learning Management System (LMS). Now that the platform is fully set up, we would like to encourage all Minor Athletes and their parents to take their corresponding SafeSport Training Course. These elective courses have been designed to provide age-appropriate education on topics like identifying trusted adults, positive sportsmanship, bullying, hazing, misconduct and abuse. The available courses are:

  • SafeSport for Kids (ages 5-12) – 15 minutes
  • SafeSport for Youth Athletes (ages 13-17) – 15 minutes

Instructions to Access Minor Athlete Courses

  • Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sport, U.S. Figure Skating – 30 minutes

Instructions to Access Parent Courses

We do want to emphasize that you should be logged into the appropriate profile when taking your training (i.e., parents are logged into their account when taking the parent course, minors are logged into their account when taking the athlete course).

If you have questions or need further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to U.S. Figure Skating’s SkateSafe team at skatesafe@usfigureskating.org.
