b'Letter From the Executive DirectorDear Member,As the 2022-2023 skating season draws to a close, I want to thank everyone for their participation and support of our Club this past year. Our Club is a rare breed in that we own our facility, we control our own ice and destiny, and we continue to foster a community for our membership. I was reminded of this at U.S. Figure Skatings recent governing council where a board member mentioned to a small group of us that club communities were becoming a thing of the past.I was very happy to correct them, and to reinforce that our Club community was very much intact and thriving, whether it be at Ice Chips, the annual Awards Dinner, weekdays and evenings in the Frieling Family Lounge, or just time spent visiting with friends and family rinkside. As inflation in utility expenses and the costs of most goods continue, along with the Clubs intentiontopayitsemployeesfairandcompetitivewages, memberscanexpectnominal increases in the cost of membership fees, some dining expenses and ice costs this coming year.We are never happy to increase costs, but we also cant afford to protect the membership from the realities of our economy. We also endeavor to make these increases gradual so that no member is overwhelmed by the need for these changes. Our goal remains to make sure that Club pricing remains competitive, with an overall value proposition that is superior to any other skating facility in the country. As we look forward to our next season, I think the most exciting change is the addition of Mia Corsini Bailey to the Clubs leadership team as our new Club Director.Mia started employment with the Club on May 30th, and was able to meet many of you at the recent Club Awards evening. With Mias arrival, you can expect a renewed attention to a positive membership experience, including more staffing in the front office, more timely and consistent communication, more consistent enforcement of the Clubs rules for members and coaches, and an overall friendlier and more welcoming experience for everyone. If you havent yet met Mia, I encourage you to stop by the Club office to say hello!Thank you again for a great season this past year, and for your continued support of the Club and its work to further the sport of skating for not only our members, but for competitors and visitors from around the world.Sincerely,Doug ZeghibeDoug ZeghibeExecutive Director3'
