Olga Ganicheva
Personal Profile:
Olga Ganicheva and Aleksey Letov are two of the top figure skating coaches in the United States. After being named the Developmental Coaches of 2016 (and nominated a total of four times!) by the Professional Skaters Association, Olga and Aleksey continue to curate some of the nation’s top talent. The husband-and-wife duo center their training around fostering trust, respect and emphasizing the importance of family in an athlete’s life.
As an athlete, Aleksey trained in Moscow at the Central Army Sports Club, popularly referred to as the “Red Army”. Among the legendary coaches in the figure skating program was Stanislav Zhuk who, after an impressive career as a pair’s skater, led his pupils to a combined 67 gold, 36 silver, and 35 bronze medals at the Olympic Games, the World Championships, and European Championships.
After a notable competitive career, Olga and Aleksey spent six years traveling the world as principal show performs. In doing so they continued to grow as athletes, working with and learning from some of the best in the figure skating and entertainment industries. In 2020, Olga and Aleksey took a leap of faith and decided to relocate from Texas to Boston to direct the High Performance Program at The Skating Club of Boston.
