Tips for Filming a Virtual Test Submission
  • Videos should be filmed in landscape (horizontally), not portrait (vertically).
  • The entire test must be performed and filmed in one continuous video with no pauses in filming. Skaters may pause for up to 10 seconds between Skating Skills patterns.
  • Reskating elements or patterns, or restarting, is not permitted.
  • Videos must be made no more than 14 days prior to the submission deadline.
  • Show the time and date at the start of the video, and announce the skater's name and the test being performed.
  • Keep the skater's entire body in frame at all times.
  • Avoid zooming in and out, as it can be distracting for judges.
  • For Dance/Free Skate tests, make sure the music is loud enough to be captured in the video.
  • Watch the video after the skater finishes to check for glitches or quality issues before uploading.
