JANUARY 2026 – U.S. Figure Skating has named Club members, Maxim Naumov, and Emily Chan and Spencer Akira Howe to the 2026 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team in Milan. They have also named newly crowned U.S. Pairs Champions, Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov, to the 2026 World Team in Prague. This is on top of other great performances and medals won the entire week by Club members who were competing in St. Louis. They have all faced injuries and obstacles, or otherwise endured a wide range of unwelcome challenges this past year.
The Club’s skaters will be leaving for Milan before the end of the month so they won’t have time for a traditional Club send off. Instead, we are looking into a public message board that we can host on the Club website for us all to share our support and best wishes with them. More information on that to come in the Club’s Weekly Planner. Let’s all do our best to show them some love.
The Club is also planning watch parties at the Club for both the Men’s and the Pairs’ events. There is already interest from NBC Sports and NBC10 Boston in joining us for those. Please keep your eyes on the Weekly Planner so as not to miss the day and times to join fellow Club members in watching our athletes leave their forever marks on Olympic ice.
As a reminder, these members will all be starring in Ice Chips: A World Journey, along with reigning World champion and 2026 Olympian, Alysa Liu. What a great opportunity to welcome them home! This will be their first U.S. appearance shortly after the Olympics conclude and we expect there to be significant interest from the public in attending. Especially with the “Experience” tickets including a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with all of them.
