July 1 – August 31, 2026

The Skating Club of Boston is excited to introduce an updated Summer Ice registration model for July 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026 designed to provide greater flexibility, improved visibility into session availability, and a more streamlined registration experience for skaters, families and coaches.

Note: The Live Calendar shows 90 days in advance.  If you are trying to book August sessions, we recommend you they use the search functionality to do so. Click “Member Programs”, select “PC Summer Ice Contracting” (or applicable rink). In the search bar, type the date (ex, 8.12) and add any relevant filers (ex, restricted).

Timeline and Important Dates:

  • Member Registration: May 15 – May 31, 2026
    Exclusive a la carte registration period for Club Members.
  • Non-Member Registration: June 1 – June 30, 2026
    Registration opens to non-members while Club Member registration continues.
  • Drop Date: June 22, 2026 
    Members may drop sessions through this date.
  • Summer Ice Dates: July 1 – August 31, 2026
    Increased pricing begins for both online prepaid registration and front desk walk-in purchases.

Registration and Payment Options:

  • A La Carte Summer Contract: May 1 – June 30, 2026
    Skaters may select only the sessions they wish to attend throughout the summer.

    • Benefits Include:
      • Guarantees space in selected sessions
      • Provides the lowest available pricing
      • Offers more flexibility than traditional summer contracting

      • Group Class (30 Minutes) / 40 Minutes: $19.50
      • 50 Minutes: $23.00
      • 60 Minutes: $27.00
      • 80 Minutes: $34.25

  • Online Prepaid Registration – Available After July 1, 2026
    Skaters may register and pay online before the start of the session and checking-in at the front desk.

    • Benefits Include:
      • Lower pricing than front desk walk-in purchases
      • Faster check-in experience
      • More accurate session counts and availability

      • Group Class (30 Minutes): $26.50 
      • 40 Minutes: $24.00
      • 50 Minutes: $28.50
      • 60 Minutes: $33.00
      • 80 Minutes: $41.75

  • Walk-In / Front Desk Purchase
    Walk-in registration will still be available when space permits, however in-person payments will be subject to a $10.00 increase per session. Our goal is to encourage more skaters and families to use the online system, which provides more accurate session availability, reduces manual waitlists and front desk transactions, and ultimately creates a smoother experience for everyone.

Helpful Registration Tips:

Building Your Schedule:
If registering for many sessions across multiple weeks, users may find it easiest to:

      1. Search sessions by day/time
      2. Add sessions to a Wishlist first
      3. Complete registration from the Wishlist afterward

Using Filters:
The “Class Type” filter can help users quickly locate:

      • Pairs sessions
      • Dance sessions
      • Group classes
      • Hockey sessions

Event Week / Members-Only Sessions: during certain event and competition weeks, select sessions may be restricted to Club Members only.

These sessions are identified by:

      • An “M” in the session title
      • Red formatting on the PDF schedule
      • Session descriptions noting “Members Only”

Please note:

      • Full Members may register at the member rate
      • Team Members may register at the non-member rate where permitted
      • Non-members will not be able to register for designated member-only sessions

Important Policies:

  • No refunds will be issued.
  • Sessions can be transferred through member ActiveNet accounts to any other date / time, as long as it is done at least 7 days prior to the occurrence of the session.If transfers occur after July 1, they will be charged the difference between the contract rate and the walk-on rate.
  • Advance online registration is strongly encouraged.
  • Session availability is live and updated in real time.
