Amanda DeAguila

Personal Profile:
Amanda grew up skating, training competitively both on the South Shore and in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a double gold medalist in Skating Skills and Singles, the highest achievements in testing. In her career thus far, she has coached Qualifying athletes up through the National level competitors in Singles, Theatre on Ice, and Showcase – all disciplines achieving success. Several of her students have represented Team USA in international competitions.

Amanda works with each skater and their team to create a training path that fits their needs and goals. She utilizes her ratings as achieved through the Professional Skaters Associate to devise a plan that considers the skater as a whole. She enjoys finding new approaches, problem-solving, and continuously learning. Amanda truly aims to instill the love and joy she has for figure skating in each of her students.

When not at the rink, you can find Amanda spending time with her three children, family, and friends. In and out of the rink she brings the highest level of positive energy with every interaction.

Formal Education:
Bachelor of Science in Management from Bridgewater State University

Coaching Philosophy:
Amanda’s goal is to provide her skaters, regardless of age, skill, or ability, with every opportunity available to them. She believes in creating solid foundations for all figure skating futures. Identifying each skater’s unique skill set allows her to cultivate their talents and set attainable goals, which in turn leads to a successful, fun, and positive skating experience. She strives to create strong, well-rounded athletes who promote the Club’s mission of advancing participation, education, and excellence in skating on and off the ice.
