SOAR – Ice Dance International

SOAR! Ice Dance International 10th Anniversary National Tour 

SOAR! Is an uplifting and joyful ice show. Prepare to be immersed in a theatrical skating experience. The cast of 10 world class figure skaters take the audience on an expressive journey of artistry and athleticism connecting with each other and audiences through the flight and flow of theatrical ensemble skating. The show continues to build a bridge from sport to art and pushes the boundaries of dance on ice. The tour will feature work from the world’s best skating and dance choreographers and a cast that includes 2 time US Champion Alissa Czisny, Rohene Ward, Kseniya Ponomaryova and Collin Brubaker.

SOAR! includes work by:

  • Benoît Richaud: 2024 ISU Choreographer of the year
  • Rohene Ward: Choreographer for World Champion Kaori Sakamoto and Jason Brown
  • Cindy Stuart: Choreographer for Disney on Ice, Stars on Ice, Willy Bietak Productions
  • Garrett Smith: Choreographer for the Bolshoi Ballet, New York City Ballet, Houston Ballet
  • Douglas Webster: Artistic Director Ice Dance International

About IDI:

Established in 2014 as a non-profit organization based in Maine, Ice Dance International (IDI) has reached thousands across the globe with its live and virtual performances, community building events, and educational programs.  IDI exists to showcase and promote dance on ice as a dynamic performing art form through performance, a skating school, and community engagement programs. , IDI creates entertaining figure skating performances of the highest caliber in rural Maine’s Piscataquis County’s Dover-Foxcroft and then shares them throughout the state, the New England region and across the United States.  Many of IDI’s performances reach a worldwide audience through live streamed experiences and social media platforms. IDI’s Founders, board of directors, cast members and choreographers include World, Olympic and National champions.

IDI’s outreach activities include free public school programs, recreational therapeutic on ice programs, panel discussions, performances at venues such as Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Aspen Gay Ski Week, WGBH’s Open Studio, Rockefeller Center, and Fenway Park and the creation of two one-hour public television specials that aired prime time on PBS stations nationwide presented by American Public Television.

The company has been featured in The New York Times and Boston Globe critic’s picks, Dance Magazine, Dance Informa, Dance International and The Dance Enthusiast.
