Our runners are taking on the 2027 Boston Marathon to honor the six members of our skating family lost on January 29, 2025, and to build permanent scholarships for the skaters who come next.
Meet the 2027 Runners
Jasmine Lanata
I am honored to run the 131st Boston Marathon for a second year in support of The Skating Club of Boston’s Always Champions campaign. My 2026 race left me deeply grateful for everyone who supported our team, and it means so much to continue this initiative while carrying the legacies of those we lost with me every step of the way. The Club has always been a home, a family, and a source of inspiration to me, and I’m proud to give back once again.

What Is the Always Champions Campaign?
On January 29, 2025, six members of our skating family were lost in the crash of American Airlines Flight 5342. The Always Champions campaign makes sure their legacies live on for generations.
Two Permanent Scholarships
The Always Champions campaign funds two permanent scholarships, one in honor of Jinna Han and one in honor of Spencer Lane. Awarded every year, they help a wide range of skaters keep pursuing their goals in the sport.
