2025 Summer Ice | Guidelines for Club Members
Summer Ice contracting is now available!
There is a LIVE CALENDAR available on ActiveNet that can be viewed on both your mobile device and your desktop. YOU CAN CONTRACT YOUR JULY ICE FROM HERE! The calendar will open to today’s date with the week view (this is the default view), you will need to navigate to July 1 and beyond to see the Summer schedule.
Each rink has a designated color (East is Yellow, West is Blue, and the Performance Center is Red). Sessions on the calendar are displayed in chronological order. When viewing on a mobile device, press the 3 blue bars above the calendar to switch your view of choice – we recommend the DAY view.
Click the session of your choice, and then ENROLL.
Keep in mind, this is not the only way to contract for summer ice.
You can click Member Programs, and then select your rink of choice and “Summer Ice Contracting”.
In fact, this is what we recommend for August as you can only see the next 90 days on the live calendar.
You no longer need to wait for the Club Office to assist with making changes to your contracted sessions. There is no Add/Drop Form for the Summer Sessions because you can do it on your own! Members now have the ability to switch their contract sessions AND withdraw on their own up to the start of each respective month’s sessions.
With your feedback, we have only released sessions that you can contract in its entirety (vs. being cancelled at a later date).
Special event schedules (Skating Academy Camp, Cranberry Cup/Open and U.S. Figure Skating’s Champs Camp) are coming soon, we’re waiting on final event details before we re-allocate the available ice to best suit the needs of the Club members.
This is new, so if you need assistance at any point feel free to reach out to us at club.info@scboston.org.
Contracting Deadlines:
· July Sessions = July 1
· August Sessions = August 1
Summer contracting will be done on a monthly basis – members will contract for the month of July and the month of August separately. Please note, the contract sessions available in August are much less than July due to the 2025 Cranberry Open/Cup and U.S. Figure Skating’s Champs Camp.
Family, Single, Introductory, Team, and U.S./World Championships Competitors members must be enrolled into automatic payments, with fees for these contracted sessions that month will be charged on the first of the month to the credit card on file (ex. all sessions contracted for July will be charged on July 1).
Those who do not elect to enroll in automatic payments will be required to clear their charges before the first day of the month the sessions occur in (ex. all August sessions must be paid before the end of July). All members have the option to opt-out of monthly payment and to pay for all contract ice sessions up-front at the time of registration. This policy will be strongly enforced.
Both members of a pair or dance team must contract their ice separately.
Skaters will be notified in writing if the Club is unable to accommodate their requested sessions.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
· No refunds or withdrawals will be made after the respective starts of each month (i.e. July 1 and August 1).
· Management reserves the right to cancel any session or class that is under-subscribed or to make changes to the schedule, if necessary.
All skaters are required to be active members of either Learn To Skate USA or U.S. Figure Skating.
If a session reaches capacity during online registration, a waitlist will be established. In the event that space becomes available on a session with a waitlist, skaters will be notified in the order they were added to the waitlist. Only members on the Family, Single, Introductory, Team, and U.S./World Championships Competitor packages may add their names to a session’s waitlist.
