From the mid 80’s to early 2000's, The Skating Club of Boston at 1240 Soldier’s Field Road was a second home to our family. Jennifer and Meredith spent endless hours at the Club while Bobby loved running on the bleachers. Whether they were “patching”, perfecting jumps, practicing their programs, sharing hot chocolate with Gerry Gearhart, or competing in club competitions, life long friendships and bonds were built within the Club family.
Jennifer competed at both Regionals and Sectionals. After passing her Senior Freestyle she decided to move onto synchronized skating with the World renowned Haydenettes. Meredith preferred freestyle and went on to become a National competitor. She was the New England Juvenile Gold Medalist as well as the New England Intermediate Gold Medalist , Eastern Intermediate Pairs Gold Medalist and Novice Ladies Gold Medalist. She went onto compete Nationally in both Intermediate Singles (Pewter medalist) and Intermediate Pairs (Silver Medalist), Novice Ladies ( 4th Short, 5th overall and 2 years as a Junior Lady). She ended her competitive career as a New England Senior Lady. She was awarded the Rowbotham Silver Bowl.
