Jessica Bussgang Rosenbloom
Jessica Bussgang Rosenbloom learned to skate at Hayden Recreation Centre in Lexington, where she grew up. She joined the Skating Club of Boston in the early 1980s when she was coached by the late Paul McGrath. Jessica enjoyed training at the Club and made many friends there. She also competed in The Boston Open in figures, short program, and long program back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She received her gold medal in both figures and freestyle in 1982 during her senior year at Lexington High School. She attended Tufts University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French, and after working in banking in NYC for a few years she attended Harvard Business School, where she received an MBA. When Jessica studied at HBS, she often came down the street to the Club to skate and at that time started judging. Since 1991, Jessica has been a U.S. Figure Skating judge, representing the SCOB at many national championships, including in 2001 in Boston, and local, regional, and sectional competitions, as well as test sessions. She has served on many U.S.F.S. committees and runs her own business. Jessica loves skating and strongly believes in the personal benefits and lifelong skills skating offers.
