Boyko Alexiev

Personal Profile: 
As a competitor, I represented Bulgaria in the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary, and also competed in three World Figure Skating Championships and I was a six-time competitor at the European Figure Skating Championships. My coaching career began with an appointment as a Senior National Coach with the Bulgarian Figure Skating Federation, where my responsibilities included selection, training and preparation for competitions of the Bulgarian National Team in Figure Skating. Later, I was employed in Greece working with athletes attending International competitions and the I.S.U Championships. I have worked in the United States for the past 27 years, I have experience with learn to skate, moves in the field, jump and spin classes, power classes and off ice conditioning for grassroots to Team USA skaters. I most recently was in Texas to develop athletes of various age and skill levels, including team USA competitors, with emphasis on free-style, power classes, and off-ice conditioning in preparation for USFSA testing, local, regional and national competitions.

Formal Education: 
Master’s degree from the Institute of Physical Education in Sports in Moscow
