2025 Boston Open NQS

Reminder: U.S. Figure Skating’s NQS Competitions Calendar extends from July 11 through October 5, 2025, with the Boston Open NQS as one of two events scheduled over the Yom Kippur holiday. The Skating Club of Boston encourages those who celebrate to choose their NQS competitions accordingly. Boston Open NQS will require two competition surfaces scheduled for the duration of the competition, and individual scheduling requests cannot be accommodated due to the overwhelming number of entries expected for this event.

About the Event

The Boston Open has been hosted by The Skating Club of Boston® since 1976. Boston NQS and Boston Open alternate as the final National Qualifying Series (NQS) competition in the east. Skaters from around the country choose to enter the event in Norwood to earn their highest score to date and hopefully qualify the Sectional Singles and U.S. Pairs Final.

Every Fall, our esteemed competition takes center stage at The Skating Club of Boston facility, providing a top-tier experience. With on-site physical trainers, local practice ice, convenient parking, a cozy café, and ample seating for friends and family, we’ve designed the perfect setting to witness the grace and talent of our remarkable skaters.

Tickets

A ticket or credential is required to enter the competition rinks from Thursday to Sunday. Day tickets for adults are $26 and $16 for children. Children under 3 may enter for free. Each competitor will receive 1 all-event punch card when checking-in at Registration. Be sure to bring this card with you each day to the event for 1 complimentary spectator entry. Additional punch cards will not be provided for those who forget or misplace theirs.

The Skating Club of Boston is gearing up for an exciting weekend at the 2025 Boston Open NQS, October 1-5, 2025! This competition is part of the National Qualifying Series and will only include well-balanced events due to demand. Please join us and volunteer to help make this competition a spectacular experience for Club athletes and visiting athletes alike. .
