Should you prefer to designate your gift for a particular purpose or initiative, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance at donate@scboston.org. This will allow us to confirm that we are able to honor your intent and apply your generosity exactly as you intend.

Workplace Giving

Employer Matching Gifts

Your gift to The Skating Club of Boston could be matched dollar for dollar by your employer! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees and/or employees’ spouses. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, please click here.

Corporate Volunteer Grant Programs

Many businesses support their employees’ philanthropic efforts by donating monetary grants to nonprofits based on the number of hours an employee volunteers! Click here to see if your company has a volunteer grant program.

Gift of Securities

Donating stock can provide significant benefits, often more than a cash gift. By giving appreciated securities, you can support The Skating Club of Boston while avoiding capital gains taxes on the stock’s appreciation and receiving a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the shares held for more than one year. This allows you to maximize your tax benefits without affecting your cash assets.

If you have securities you would like to donate, the Club can accept them through its Fidelity Brokerage Account. Please contact the Club’s Chief Financial Officer, Christine McMurray, at christine.mcmurray@scboston.org for instructions on making a gift of stock.

Donor Recognition

Unrestricted gifts, contributions not designated for a specific cause or initiative, play a vital role in sustaining the Club’s mission and operations. In recognition of such generosity, donors are eligible to be recognized either on the Club’s Donor Wall or through a named seat in the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center, serving as a lasting tribute to their support.

Donor Wall

Unrestricted gifts of $5,000 or more will be permanently recognized on the Club’s Donor Wall located in the West end of the Club’s main lobby. The Club’s Donor Wall has been intentionally designed to reflect the ongoing generosity of friends of The Skating Club of Boston.

Take Your Seat

The Tenley E. Albright Performance Center, the Club’s 2,500 seat arena, hosts traditional Club events like Boston Open in addition to other local, national, and international events. Each Performance Center seat is a tax-deductible contribution of $1,000 and offers a lasting opportunity for recognition through a personalized inscription affixed to the seat arm.
