Coaching Philosophy
I strongly believe that a solid foundation is a prerequisite of a successful skating career. Acquiring strong basics and transferring them into complex skills through various exercises is my teaching concept. I support and encourage independent learning in combination with coaching instructions. Incorporating different disciplines into the training schedule such as off-ice conditioning, ballet and gymnastics, helps to develop a well rounded athlete. I love to create an environment where students have fun while working hard. I also believe that helping and guiding an athlete through their emotional challenges of ups and downs while training and competing is a coach’s responsibility.
