Personal Profile: Jimmy Morgan is a former national and international senior pairs competitor. Alongside partner Alex Shaughnessy, Jimmy medaled at the U.S. International Classic and competed at eight consecutive U.S. Championships. To fuel his innate love for performing, Jimmy transitioned from competitive skating to a career coaching Theatre On Ice of Boston (TOI). Now in his seventh year with the program, Jimmy has coached teams to five national medals including one gold medal in 2019. At the most recent Nations’ Cup competition in Epinal, France, Jimmy head coached the junior TOI team to a world silver medal. Additionally, Jimmy skates with Forte of Boston, the program’s senior team. This year, he is excited to work closely with Adam Blake as the Assistant Artistic Director for TOI of Boston.

Jimmy enjoys working with students of all levels from those taking their first steps on the ice to skaters looking to improve their performance skills at the senior level. Jimmy assists with easing the transition into pair skating by providing partnering and coaching to those interested in learning the fundamentals of pairs skating. He is also excited to help build the Club’s Showcase program, creating even more opportunities for Club members interested in performing or skaters intrigued by the idea of a career in professional shows.
